You might be copying data from one workbook into another. In this case the ActiveWorkbook might be different from ThisWorkbook. Even though you copy data into ThisWorkbook, it does NOT necessarily become the ActiveWorkbook. If you used ActiveWorkbook.RefreshAll then it could refresh the connections and pivot tables in the wrong workbook. Therefore, it’s best to use ThisWorkbook in this case.
