It started all of the sudden yesterday. I have version 2.0.2 and i downloaded 2.0.3 and had the same problem. I did find though that i could download dailymotion movies but only as flash files. This is the first time i have ever tried to downoad something from dailymotion so this might be normal for that sight. I guess youtube must've found a way to stick it to us. Funny though that video download helper and zamzar still work. Corel paint shop pro for mac. I guess we just have to wait and see what the tubesock people say.

I started to wonder whether the new update of Mac doesn't fit with the setting of Tubesock. It's so sad that I cannot download anything I love. And I sent email to the technical support person of Tubesock, no response at all. Hello I am Adam and after reading about 'couldn't initialize tubesock' I have come up with two solutions. First Boot into safe mode with no networking. Then go to add/remove programs and try to delete it from there. Then re-start the computer in regular mode and download/install new version of JAVA.

It’s also not the only way to do this kind of thing. You can download the videos for free by loading the video you want, accessing Safari’s Activity window, grabbing the video, and then using Techspansion’s free to convert it. But I find $15 a small price to pay for TubeSock’s convenience. In all honesty, the worst thing about the program is that I’ve now got a folder full of very cool video clips—appearances by the, where Prince completely tears it up on the final solo of When My Guitar Gently Weeps, (you had to be there), and a young (complete with seemingly endless capes) in glorious black and white—and once I get really serious about ripping these movies, where in god’s name am I going to put them all?
